three great things

i’ve been reading a book called “you majored in what?” and its purpose is to help young people discover their passions. it’s filled with exercises to ponder our interests, our skills, strengths, the needs of the current workforce, etc. one of my favorite exercises it suggests to do is a practice derived from gratitude and positive psychology.

the book asks: what are three great things that happened today?

  • i woke up early and made it to my 6am workout (only woman there..boom!)
  • i had my things packed and ready for my flight to denver. my uber from my house to MIA train station was a whopping $2.87 and the train to FLL Airport was surprisingly smooth and easy.
  • met up with one of our best friends and his fiancé and her lovely family for a healthy dinner and a cold beer

i am so happy to be in denver with friends, exploring new parts of the country i’ve never seen.

happy 4th of july, my fellow americans! 🇺🇸
